We have four decades of experience in creating bespoke wedding rings, and when you come for a consultation, one of our talented designer-goldsmiths will lead you gently through the whole design process.
Designed to complement your engagement ring
If you have an engagement ring, we can design your wedding ring to complement it perfectly.
Simply by matching features like the profile, depth and width you can make it seem like your rings were designed as a set.
If your engagement ring does not sit comfortably with a straight wedding ring, we can produce a bespoke fitted wedding ring that is shaped to sit perfectly alongside it.
Matching wedding rings
Couples often want their wedding rings to match in some way.
If partners have the same taste they might go for rings that are virtually identical, but scaled to fit the hand and the finger-size.
However, when partners have different tastes, we look for design elements that appeal to both of them.
It might be just the material, or some design feature that will mark them out as a pair.
Often, a bride will have dainty ring set with diamonds, and the groom, a chunkier version without diamonds.
Men's wedding rings
There no real difference between women's and men's rings.
Some brides go for a wide ring, and some men prefer a narrow band. - It's all down to personal preferences.
We scale your ring to suit you, and many of the wedding rings shown on this site are actually men's rings.

Guildford has no shortage of jewellery shops, but a bespoke goldsmith's workshop — where you sit with the person who will actually make your ring — is a rarer thing. That's what Aurum offers, and it's why couples from Guildford and the wider Surrey area make the hour-long journey south. We've been doing this since 1985, and the difference in the result is plain to see.

A: We can design a wedding ring that complements any engagement ring beautifully.— We just need to see it at the consultation.
We don't copy branded designs, but we'll produce something that sits perfectly alongside them.
Q: We live in Guildford — is one visit enough to complete the process?
A: One visit is usually sufficient for the design consultation.
We then communicate by phone and email as the work progresses.
Most people will come back to collect their finished ring, but some ask us to post it.
Q: What metals are best for everyday wear?
A: Platinum is the most durable and hardwearing, and is a popular choice for wedding rings worn daily.
